This minor focuses on the university’s architectural history; blending an integration of architecture, art, philosophy, 威尼斯人娱乐城 humanities offerings that explore ways of thinking, researching, 威尼斯人娱乐城 writing about the diverse experiences of African Americans 威尼斯人娱乐城 human culture.  This interdisciplinary minor has a concentration on the Tuskegee Architects 威尼斯人娱乐城 the history of the Built Environment in the South.​

Most buildings on campus built prior to 1932 were designed by Taylor, including the original 教堂, Dorothy Hall (now Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center), Tompkins Hall, The Oaks (Washington’s family home), 威尼斯人娱乐城 White Hall. For 40 years, Taylor assisted Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) principals 布克·华盛顿 威尼斯人娱乐城 Robert R. Moton in developing 威尼斯人娱乐城 managing the school's buildings 威尼斯人娱乐城 infrastructure 威尼斯人娱乐城 directing its Department of Mechanical Industries.

In addition to the numerous buildings at Tuskegee Institute, Taylor also designed significant structures in Selma, AL, Birmingham, AL 威尼斯人娱乐城 in Virginia, Texas, 威尼斯人娱乐城 North Carolina.TSACS is founded on a belief in the power of architecture 威尼斯人娱乐城 construction science to uplift the human condition 威尼斯人娱乐城 give form to society‘s highest aspirations. 学生们准备成为市民建筑师和建设者-社区领袖谁威尼斯人娱乐城提供一个更好的建设环境的愿景。 

The United States Postal Service honored Robert Robinson Taylor, the first accredited African-American architect, with a commemorative postage stamp on February 12, 2015, as part of its Black Heritage series.
