阿拉巴马州的塔斯基吉。 — In a powerful demonstration of brotherhood, service, 威尼斯人娱乐城 commitment to education, the Gamma Phi Chapter Alumni of Alpha Phi Alpha博爱公司 presented a $150,000 gift to Tuskegee University President 威尼斯人娱乐城 CEO Dr. Mark A. Brown ’86 in honor of his investiture as the university’s 10th president.
Adding to the celebration, Alpha Phi Alpha General President Lucien J. Metellus Jr. personally announced a $25,000 gift, along with another $25,000 gift wired that afternoon from Brother Lionel Richie ’74 , bringing the total Alpha Phi Alpha contribution to $200,000 in support of Tuskegee University.

“This gift represents not only our respect for our brother, Dr. Mark A. Brown, but also our commitment to advancing the mission of Tuskegee University,” said Dr. Van B. Sapp ’85, co-organizer of the reception. “As sons of Alpha 威尼斯人娱乐城 proud Golden Tigers, we believe in putting our resources into action. This contribution is a symbol of our collective dedication to ensuring Tuskegee thrives during this Renaissance period under Dr. Brown’s leadership.”
Dr. Brown, who pledged Alpha Phi Alpha through the Gamma Phi Chapter during his time as a student, expressed his gratitude for the fraternity’s support. “To receive this honor from my brothers is deeply personal,” said Dr. Brown. “Alpha Phi Alpha has always stood for scholarship, service, 威尼斯人娱乐城 leadership — values that align with Tuskegee’s mission. This investment will strengthen our work as we prepare students to solve the world’s most complex problems.”
The gift will support the university’s strategic initiatives as part of The Campaign for Tuskegee University: Solving the World’s Most Complex Problems, which was officially launched during Investiture Weekend.
