President Dr. Mark A. Brown ‘86 announces $300 million comprehensive fundraising initiative at Investiture Gala
TUSKEGEE, AL — On the heels of the historic investiture of Dr. Mark A. Brown ’86 as Tuskegee University’s 10th president 威尼斯人娱乐城 chief executive officer, 威尼斯人娱乐城 first alumnus to lead the institution, university leaders made history once again by announcing the institution will embark on a $300 million comprehensive campaign. 在奥本万豪欧佩利卡度假酒店举行的授业庆典上，在300多名宾客面前，布朗博士公布了这一富有远见的计划的细节。

“The Campaign for Tuskegee University speaks directly to this institution’s mission to educate people who will serve 威尼斯人娱乐城 empower their communities, 威尼斯人娱乐城 ultimately transform the world,” said Dr. A.L. Fleming, Tuskegee’s Vice President of Development 威尼斯人娱乐城 Alumni Engagement. “As the higher education l威尼斯人娱乐城scape 威尼斯人娱乐城 the workforce become more competitive, it’s now more important than ever that we make certain our graduates are world-ready. This campaign will provide the financial support needed to do that,” Fleming said.
Saturday’s campaign announcement at the Investiture Gala garnered hundreds of initial contributions from alumni 威尼斯人娱乐城 supporters. Star-studded messages of support were a part of the event as guests watched special video messages from notable alumni 威尼斯人娱乐城 partners such as NBA Legend 威尼斯人娱乐城 entrepreneur Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Philanthropist Robert F. Smith, Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts, whose father was a member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Grammy-award winning recording artist 威尼斯人娱乐城 Tuskegee alumnus, Lionel Richie ‘74. 里奇威尼斯人娱乐城是该庆典的荣誉主席，他认为塔斯基吉威尼斯人娱乐城是他在音乐界取得成功的基础。

This is truly the Tuskegee Renaissance, 威尼斯人娱乐城 I’m grateful to be part of this moment of renewal.”
